October 2007 Kosher Sushi ClubLast month we had a kind-of/sort-of meeting when I spun a sake event at the Drunken Fish in the Central West End. The evening was a lot of fun, though my after set meal found the sushi still average and over-priced. A recent trip to Cha Yoon / Chi down the street in the CWE, shows that they still have some of the best rolls and pieces in town for a reasonable price. We may be visiting there in November. August 2007 Kosher Sushi ClubAfter taking July off, Kosher Sushi Club is ramping up. This month we're heading down to one of my old stomping grounds, Rue 13. Located on the Wash Ave strip, Rue 13 is the only night club to survive the gentrification of the neighborhood. A couple years back, Washington Ave. was home to upwards of a dozen clubs. Almost all have vanished or moved to other neighborhoods. |
